Anna Safer
Anna is currently the Acting Deputy Director for Emerging/Growth Partners for the Awards Management Unit's Strategic Partnerships team within the IRC. She began working at the IRC in 2017 starting as an Emergency Health Intern. Anna has worked with the Health Unit, the Asia Regional team, the Iraq country program, and the Yemen country program over the course of the past 7 years. Prior to joining the IRC, Anna worked in the Emergency Operations Center at the US Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta as well as for a medical clinic in Kumasi, Ghana. She has a masters degree in International Health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and enjoys cooking, hiking, biking, and enjoying the outdoors with her partner and son.
